How do I change statuses?

There are several different ways statuses are used in the Waitlist Me app:

  • On the main waitlist page, the column on the left has Status Colors. There are 6 colors available to choose from, and they can be used as a way to differentiate parties. For example, some restaurants will use green for outdoor seating requests, some will use blue for VIPs, etc. If you allow guests to add themselves to the list, below the status color you would see 'widget,' 'kiosk,' or 'Google' to show how customers joined the list. If you have hidden the status column from the waitlist view, you wouldn't see that information. You can hide/unhide that under the Settings > Waitlist View. See more on using those statuses here
  • For Pro & Platinum users, once a table is seated there are options to change the status of the table. Green is the default for open tables, and red is the default for tables that are taken. You can change the labels for what each color stands for, and turn those on and off in the settings. See more details on how to do that here
  • The Public Waitlist has status buttons at the top that allow users to say they are on their way or cancelling. To hide/unhide those options, on the website go to Account > Settings > Public Waitlist.
