How do I set up sections, layouts and floorplans?
The floorplans are available through the app on a phone or tablet, but set up on a tablet is the best option. (Currently only the Grid View option is available on the web; you wouldn't see the full spatial floorplan layout online.) To set up your floorplan, It's easiest to use a tablet with at least an 8 inch screen. You can visit this page for full instructions, or use the abbreviated instructions below.
You want to start with your table numbers and sizes. There are 30 tables set up by default, but you can change the names and sizes, or delete/add more as needed. This is in the app under the gear icon > Manage Assignments > Assignments.
Once your tables are set up you would want to name your sections (if you use them) and layouts (if for example sections change for lunch or dinner service). These options are also found on the Manage Assignments menu of the app.
For each layout you’ve named, press Edit to set it up. Starting with your first section, put a check in the box for each table in that first section. Then press the +Section in the middle of the row, and assign that section. You would also see the option to add a color code for that section. Repeat the process until you’ve assigned all of the tables to the sections that belong in the layout you're working on. (You don’t have to use every table in a layout.)
Repeat the process for other the layouts.
If you're on the Pro plan, see this page for how to use the Grid View of table management.
If you're on the Platinum plan, you're ready to start creating your floorplan. From the main waitlist screen press the circle dash icon on the left. On the next screen press the button next to the plus sign in the upper right to switch to "floor" view. You can use the "Edit" button to start adding tables.
This page has a video at the bottom that will walk you through that process: https://www.waitlist.me/features/setting-up-layouts
If you've already set up a floorplan and need to change it, go into the floorplan view and press the Edit button. This will put you into Edit Mode to be able to make adjustments.
