Is this HIPAA compliant?

The app itself is not HIPAA compliant for these reasons: it will not log users out after a period of inactivity, and management cannot pull a report of what actions each employee took in the app. Also, you can't add any PHI, only names and phone numbers. For example, you cannot add notes about why the patient is there. There are medical establishments that use the service, but they are are using it strictly for the waitlist tracking/paging functions. If you only need those features, it could meet your needs. 

These are some additional FYIs you may find helpful: 

  • The service doesn't integrate with any EMRs and is not designed to function as a CRM. 
  • We don't provide an enterprise tier of support, so we would not sign a BAA or go through custom security reviews or other processes that enterprise companies might support. You'd need to be comfortable with the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy we have listed on our site to use our service.
  • The app isn't heavy on the appointment features, and would likely only be a good fit if you mostly need waitlist features, or if staff are scheduling all appointments (meaning you aren't letting patients schedule themselves online).
